CHKDSK Drive Locked

  1. Restart the computer with the original installation media (that’s either the DVD or the USB flash drive) …
  2. Click Repair your computer.
  3. At the Choose an option screen, click Troubleshoot.
  4. Click Advanced options.
  5. Click Command Prompt.
  6. Type this command: chkdsk C: /f /x /r.
